For the second consecutive year, The 5-Star Salamander Resort and Spa, located in Middleburg, VA, is hosting The Family Reunion. Taking place from August 18th through the 21st, The Family Reunion is an immersive experience that brings together people from across the nation to Middleburg for panels, demonstrations, and meals. Chef Kwame Onwuachi notes that The Family Reunion is a celebration of the black and brown community's contributions to the food industry. It is presented by Onwuachi in collaboration with Food & Wine and the Salamander Resort and Spa.

About Chef Kwame Onwuachi
Kwame Onwuachi is an extremely accomplished chef. He is cited by Vogue.com as "a rising star in the culinary world." Salamander Resort and Spa also regards his resume as "incomparable." Onwuachi has numerous awards including the James Beard Award which recognizes chefs, restauranteurs, authors, and journalists across the States. Presented by the James Beard Foundation, the award is given to individuals who demonstrate "exceptional talent and achievement in the culinary arts, hospitality, media, and broader food system." On top of his accolade, Onwuachi owns an Afro-Caribbean restaurant and his memoir Notes from a Young Black Chef is in the process of becoming a film.
We are so excited to have Kwame Onwuachi back in Middleburg for The Family Reunion. The Family Reunion also has star-studded programming featuring many notable culinary talents, including Carla Hall who is pictured.
